USA 11 hatches

The foredeck hatches were seriously damaged and needed to be replaced or rebuilt. With careful consideration given to cost, difficulty and time, is was determined that rebuilding and repairing the hatches would be the best alternative. The top surfaces were spot repaired, the core dried out, and a layer of 1708 fiberglass was vacuum bagged over the existing surface using WEST epoxy resin. Following that, the surface was faired, primed with AWLGRIP 545 epoxy primer, final faired with AWLGRIP Awlfair, more primer, and topcoat. Contrasting Whisper Grey, and Light Grey were used to achieve the final effect.
